Nanu, the Kahuna of Ula'ula island in Alola, resident lazy cop, and dark type specialist. tl;dr this is a man just waiting for the sweet release of ~~death~~ retirement and really would prefer to never talk about his Interpol past that left him completely unable to give a damn about anything else for the rest of his life. Kinda sucks when you get a job to look after a researcher during a big monster hunting case, and then watch that researcher just get ripped apart and devoured right in front of you. Kinda sucks even more when you later find out oh, your superiors knew this person would attract these monsters, and let all of this happen pretty much on purpose. Anyone's Give A Damn meter would break after that.

Except it turns out he still gives a lot of damns and he hates it.

He's also the resident cat lover. No really the man has like 16 Meowths back home living in the police station with him, it's terrible.
